Why can MeshParts use materials but not Meshes?

Just noticed meshes can’t use materials while meshparts can. Aren’t they the same thing-ish?

Suggestion: Allow Meshes to use materials just like MeshParts

First, I presume you mean SpecialMesh. Second, they have different base classes. That might have thrown a wrench?

I have been wanting to suggest this for a while. I don’t understand why it doesn’t exist - it has been proven (by that texture glitch) that it’s more than capable to be done in the Engine
