Im using the scaling tool to try and make my gun model smaller, but it won’t scale down. I can scale it up but not smaller help.
Because you have reached the down scale limit
well i built the gun to be big, planning to scale it down later, but it wont scale down… sooo what do i do to make it smaller
You can go to properties and set the size to a smaller number
models don’t have a size property
ungroup it then change it that will work
it just changes the parts’ size,
does the auto scaler plugin work with scaling things past the standard limit?
I don’t use that plugin so can’t speak to that. If it doesn’t work, you’ll need to look inside the model and find where parts have hit the 0.05 lower size limit in some dimension and then manually change them a bit… or do it with a script. Then try the resize again. Once any part inside a model hits that smallest size threshold, you won’t be able to scale the whole model down any further.
I kind of doubt the plugin author would try to make those size adjustments on the fly though. There wouldn’t be an easy way to scale it back up to original size (all those adjusted parts would be “off”). You could scale it down to a pinpoint by forcing those min values as you go, but scaling up may look nothing like what you started with. Can’t imagine a plugin author would want to field emails about that.
Don’t worry! Roblox has a down and up scale limit towards all objects to insure all the basic physics in the engine work correctly. If you really want to scale it down past the .05 limit, I recommend you use the following plugin…
This plugin is perfect for making your models smaller then Roblox allows it. Hope this helps!!
Try making it a union. it might work
You can’t size it any smaller because you have reached the down scale limit. Some parts have a certain size that they must maintain in order for it to work properly.
You need to use some scaling plugins at this point, since they can do percentage reduction instead of stopping at roblox limit.
