Why can't I see the texture on this mesh I imported from ROBLOX studio?

I am trying to render a Bloxys Award gear into blender.

I exported it like I would export a regular roblox character.

I open it up and it shows up as this?

Why is it gray?

I think its gray because the color or decal didn’t get imported with the mesh I may be wrong I’m sure there is a way to import meshes with there color or decal

You need to set your Viewport Shading in blender to Material Preview or Render Preview.

After pressing Preview Material:

As said by @UltimaAnthony , ROBLOX imports aren’t automatically textured so you need to select your “mode” to Material / Render, though the one what displays lighting is better in my opinion and I would recommend it.

Hopefully this helped you, good luck on future endeavors!

did you guys even see that it is already on rendered preview?

also models and parts and meshparts and everything are imported with their textures so idk what happened here…

I didn’t notice the second screenshot at first, my mistake.

Upon looking further at the screenshots provided, I’m not sure what exactly is causing the issue.

If OP is interested, add me to a team create and I can insert the mesh that I exported in case that particular mesh is the problem.

Hmmm, that’s weird. My meshes always get automatically textured when I import them from Blender into Roblox.
