But, the problem is my buildings just look like they are not better, like there is no progress here.
Any suggestions?

You could try watching speed builds, using different plugins, using unions, trying to replicate builds of other people (or pictures), or making larger places like a whole kitchen, etc.

go ahead and experiment with your builds. they dont have to fit the standard quota like “oh hey look i made a white refrigerator with a grey handle” instead say, you want to make it a bit silly “i made a refrigerator with polka dots and it has a smiley face” or, even, instead of making a refrigerator you could make a car, or plane or an abstract object of your own creation. whatever you can think of, you can make it. just try and think outside the box, look at things from another angle.

While the time frame since you started practicing is not a big one, you should at the very least see some noticeable improvements. Are you able to provide some of your early works VS. your latest? I often find it hard to appreciate my own creations. I’m not sure if that’s the same for you, but it’s entirely possible you simply don’t notice the improvement.
I also recommend using plugins to your advantage. Here are some that should prove helpful as they are to me:
- Building Tools by F3X - Building Tool
- Load Character Lite - Loads in players avatars to studio
- Archimedes - Creates arches at any angle you wish
- Gap Fill - Fill in gaps where it would otherwise be annoying to manually
- Resize Align - Join to edges together rather than add in another part to close a gap
- ThreeDText 2 - Create 3D text in many different fonts
- Brushtool 2.1 - Add a model to your brush and place it around your map with ease
