Hello everyone, I have a wilderness survival game that I made. For new users, they are redirected to a tutorial, and once they complete it, they are reteleported back to the main game, where they can click ‘play’ to start actually playing. For some reason, only 60% of the people that join the game actually click play. I can’t really pinpoint the culprit, and my best guess would be the tutorial. How would I make the player stay longer?
Here is the game link if anyone is interested in seeing what the tutorial is like (Maybe I messed up somewhere and didn’t realize).
You could work towards preventing this by improving your onboarding experience. I’ll share two useful resources to help you understand onboarding and how to guide players through it quickly and effectively. This will engage your players with the core loop of your game earlier on, giving them a reason to stay and play!
