Why do so many people ragequit?

Hello, I’ve been working pretty hard on a game for the past few months.

It’s a laser tag game where everyone is invisible. However, people flash visible periodically and turn visible when they pull out a weapon. I’ve gotten many comments the game is underrated. However, the main problem that’s holding it back is that new players tend to ragequit immediately on their first death. How do I stop this?

the players lose because there is little or no counter play,
try to make it so that when the player loses it because they made a mistake and they should be aware of that mistake,

simply put make the player blame themselves and not the game,

here is few ideas:

  • add a minimap that shows last location of players before they turn invisible
  • a sonar that spreads slowly that shows if there is players around u

No but half the time, the players who quit are the ones that I attack with a laser gun while I’m visible and they can clearly see me trying to shoot them.

Minimap and sonar are great ideas, thanks for your feedback.

There’s probably quite a skill level difference between old and new users, or the game is too confusing (player’s might leave if it’s all dark (they see nothing) and then the die 5 seconds later), do you have a tutorial?
Edit: Flashing lights can be harmful to some people, so put a warning in

Yes I do.

I inserted an epilepsy warning in the description.

The tutorial is pretty thorough. I can’t separate new and old players because then no matches would even occur because we have very few players.

I’ve already gave a feedback but you didn’t change anything, what’s the point of these posts if you don’t listen to feedback…
