Why do some games show the "server code"

Ive seen some games have a gui that tells the players the “server code” or “server ID”
Id like to know the following:

  1. how do you get them or are they generated by a script
  2. what are the purpose of them
  3. why show them to all players

Idk anything about why these would exist, but idk. Please tell me!

  1. Server Id or Server Code is JobId.
  2. You can get Server Id by using game.JobId
  3. It is used for TeleportService. You can teleport a player to an exact server.
  4. It is showed on games that you can teleport on servers using the jobid.
  5. It can be used in server lists, etc…

You might need to change the topic.

Because its under resources, which is wrong. Change it to scripting support and then mark it as solution.
