Why does a free model by ROBLOX have a virus?

definitely contact support about this, it’s very strange especially if it’s a creation by them

Yeah, Roblox didn’t intentionally do this.
Also, there are no scripts in that model so that is pretty harmless anyway. You can just delete it.
Even if you don’t delete it, it can’t really do anything since it’s not a script.

Either way I’m sue Roblox will sort it out soon!

My mistake, I thought it could have been but I did not look for myself.

Hey,

I’m pretty sure I know what happened. I’m not an expert at this but I had a similar situation. Basically, what probably happened is that you had more free models and one of these had that virus. Once you pressed test game or play game the virus spread somehow. (I had that same situation, I don’t know how they spread but I assume that) This is then how it got onto the roblox model. I’m 100% sure roblox wouldn’t do that because it can’t happen by accident and the people who work there aren’t kids they’re adults that know what they’re doing.

I hope this helped you!

It’s just a blank baseplate, with nothing except the baseplate and the table.

I think viruses can spread from plugins?

There must be something… Is there a change that the virus went onto your profile? I think that’s also possible.

They can spread from anything.

Here’s all my plugins

OP is correct, go try it yourself. Load a baseplate then insert the model.

Ro-Defender can mess up items.

when i imported the model i did not use ro defender

Do you have active plugins? I really can’t believe it.

What that’s crazy? It’s probally a plugin of yours.

Ok so basically, I think Roblox takes models from random users and turns them into their own ones with the permission and probably someone smuggled a virus into the model… I can’t believe it still…

If this helps, here is the full story of how I discovered the virus. I was building an outdoor space in a simulator game of mine, when I went, “Ooh! ROBLOX made a picnic table!”

I opened it up in explorer, and there was the virus.

Roblox hired the wrong person who puts viruses- report to roblox and they figure it out probaly

I could have came from a model you used on that simulator game?

Most definitely not, as I clean ANY free model I insert. The virus also appeared in the blank baseplate.
