Why does my Animation work in one experience, but not the other?

Hello!
I have an animation that works in the place I originally uploaded it in (Game A):
robloxapp-20240119-1308111.wmv (958.6 KB)

But does not work when I use it for another place I own (Game B):
robloxapp-20240121-1358274.wmv (685.1 KB)

For fun, I uploaded my second place file (Game B place file), to the first place (Game A), and it works:
robloxapp-20240123-1502251.wmv (692.9 KB)

Why does the animation not work for the second place file/Game B? Both games have the same place/experience configurations. I cleared out my cache, just in case. There’s nothing I can see that I need to configure for the animation to make it work in other places. And the animation DOES work in Place B while its open in studio, but not on the app. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Did you make sure to save the game? You can try reuploading the animation again. I’ve had the same problem many times. Make sure, if you’re working in a group, that you haven’t saved it to your profile because the animation would only work for you and not others. Make sure to save it to the group instead. Hope this helps!

Yup! Game saved, uploaded. I even re-uploaded the animation from Game B, and made sure it was uploaded to my Group account, but it didn’t work.

I don’t really know if I know what you mean but from what I can tell unless you allow it on the marketplace or something I’ve been looking at models and stuff I have no idea really…

Group account? It should be the actual group’s animation, not the owner of the group’s animation

Well, it really depends who you uploaded it to.

Only the animation owner that owns the experience can have the animation available for everyone to see. If you want the animation to show for all players in said experience, the owner of the experience must own the animation as well. (It must be uploaded under the owner’s name, this can count as a group as well.)

For Example:

Place1 is owned by RobloxDude, and he owns an animation in Place1.

RobloxDude really loves his animation, and uses the same Animation ID For his other game, Place2 thats owned by his popular group, not by him directly.

But, once he gets in-game (not in studio), it doesn’t show, with no script errors either.

This is because the owner of the animation is RobloxDude, and not the popular group. In order for the animation to show in-app, it must be owned by the owner of the experience.

Apologies for any confusion. When in GameA, I uploaded my Animation from the AnimationEditor, and for Creator I chose “Me”. This worked in GameA, no problem. I used the same animationID in GameB, that I have published through my Group. The animation worked in Studio, but not on the App. So I re-published the animationID, in GameB, and this time chose my Group for the Creator. But same results again, the animation does not play in the app, but does in Studio.

Am I overlooking something really basic here?

EDIT: Okay, its working now! I guess the server needed time to update for the changes. Thanks all!

You’re completely fine! Good luck developing
