Why does Roblox ignore emails and what can be done about it?

This is a support category for asking questions about how to get something done on the Roblox websites or how to do something on Roblox applications such as Roblox Studio.

You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:

  1. I want to understand why Roblox is unresponsive to my emails so I can get help with broken sound objects.

  2. I have emailed support@roblox.com regarding two separate sound objects which I am having problems with and Roblox does not respond to my support requests.

  3. I have emailed support@roblox.com with sound object IDs, explaining the problems I am experiencing, and requesting assistance. I have not received a responsive email from Roblox, nor have either problem been fixed.

I don’t know what else to ask. Ignoring support requests is essentially an obstacle that comes across as apathetic and unprofessional. The fixes I am looking for must be done by Roblox.

How long did you wait?

Remember that Roblox has around 70 million average daily users.

Sure, not all of them are using Studio, or emailing support, but even then the amount of requests they get every day must be so huge that even bots have an issue replying to them. If you have a well written and obviously problematic issue then the bots would likely turn it over to a human to handle.
How many humans do they have answering support questions? I’m not sure, but I bet they are pretty busy with the requests that the bots can’t automatically fix. Try waiting a week. If there’s no answer at all then maybe try again.

One initially occurred on January 5th, 2023. I have sent follow-ups and have received nothing regarding this sound object. It shows as updated on December 5th, 2023, and indicates that it’s in my inventory, but it does not load and is unplayable.

The other was uploaded June 17, 2020, worked for a bit. Indicates that it was updated August 22, 2022. Stopped working when Roblox revamped their sound object library. I emailed at that time (don’t have exact date in front of me, but was at least nearly 2 years ago), and to this day, the sound object is broken and unusable in my ‘experiences’.

You think I am still in the queue?

Ah, that’s a bit of a wait. You never mentioned dates in your first post so I had to ask.

So much audio is broken in the toolbox, or has so many copies or hashtags that searching for anything there is basically like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Sorry I couldn’t give you a good answer…

Have you tried filling out the support form?
Instead of emailing them directly.

Yes. I have used that form, without response. Roblox just has no respect for developers.

How many times have you tried to contact them using the forum. As I would keep trying every 2 weeks

This was my first attempt. Doesn’t seem likely that it will be my last…
