I was trying to log into an alt of mine on the devforums, until this message came up.
Why does it only allow 1 email? I am just curious on why it restricts 2 emails on one account.

I’m not quite sure why, but I guess the best possible answer is for security concerns so that multiple accounts or I guess breached accounts aren’t created on the forums in some situations, someone else could have an answer for this.
Having multiple accounts that is home to one account is kind of risky if you ask me like if one account is leaked then others associated with that could be as well…

Thats a tricky one. Like imagine if theres a yahoo email that’s exactly the same as another account? Then what would technically make sense if one account is already hooked up to another same type of email company and the duplicate account would be locked from entering?
It’s most likely to stop people from alting the devforum.

Discourse SSO matches accounts by email. If this error wouldn’t be shown, your account could randomly morph between your main and your alt (since username and profile picture is updated on every login) depending on what you use to log in.
