Okay, so I made a game icon and this weird thing happens that’s kind of hard to explain.
So this is the picture I made.
And when I make it my game icon, this happens.
A large amount of blank space.
I’m pretty new to making game icons, so I don’t understand why this is happening.
Note: The image works fine as a thumbnail, but not a game icon.
Icons are 512x512 in size, so your image is being scaled down to fit within this area. The correct solution to this would be to create a new image of a different size - preferably 512x512, so it fits nicely and doesn’t need to be downscaled.
You’ll have to crop the image and re-add the text in cropped version of image.
The game Icon MUST be 512x512, unless you want it like cropped. I suggest keeping the current one and set it as a thumbnail, and crop a new one (copy of it), move the text and it would look perfect for your game.
