Why does this happen when rotating an object in an animations?

Greetings,

So I am currently trying to make a reload animation for this musket and when I rotate the stick in the hand, it does this weird thing:

Does anyone know why or how to fix this?

What is the stick connected to? I remember that I had the same problem as you due to the Motor6Ds.

I welded the stick to the torso.

Mhm thats odd, maybe the keyframes are overriding or duplicated with each other?

I checked and they aren’t. I tried redoing it with the same 180 rotation but it did that weird thing again.

Maybe its the 180 degrees rotation that is affecting it, maybe try doing it without the rotation?

You can try putting the stick in the gun and back out.

Yes, I tried doing it will smaller rotation increments and spread them out evenly with different keyframes for each rotation, but it still has the choppy rotation like it’s trying to do the weird rotating thing again.

The stick is supposed to be flipped around as the flat side is used to stuff down the barrel of the gun (is how the person hiring me to make it wants it done).

Mhm, try rotating it as slowly as you can and see if the weird thing still persists. If it still doesn’t work then theres no way that I could help you with this.

Oh, ok. So there’s no real fix to this? I’ve encountered this sometimes with rotating a rig as well, such as making a rotation with R6 rig midair and it does the weird movement while rotating thing.

If you have encountered this many times and found a solution with it then do the same with this problem too, otherwise reset the animation and do it again.

Ok, I haven’t found a solution before but thanks for the help anyways.

I have this issue also using motor3D with it to the torso then the tool handle.
