Well, I thought it was because of the format but it is not, I put the .fbx and .obj format, but it does not put the colors or textures
I have never seen textures on obj files, but I donât use that format anymore either.
For Fbx, only simple single image materials will export. It canât handle nodes either. Remove the rest. You need to choose the copy setting when exporting.
If you want other images for normals/roughness/metal, you need to create a SurfaceAppearance in Roblox
Why dont export texture and put it in texture id
As @nanosph said, you have to export the texture file as well and put it into the MeshPartâs Texture.
Another thing that might help you is to select all the Faces in your mesh and in Edit mode click on the Face tool menu then choose the Smooth Faces tool. This will get rid of the square ridges around your Mesh.
If you still want edges to appear âsharpâ then use the Edge tool to select which edges you want sharp, go to the Edge menu and select Mark Sharp.
Itâs my first time at this so I have no idea. Iâm seeing how to do
I already got the textures and it seems to be fine, but apparently it got a bit fuzzy on this part:
Capture type is âDiffusedâ
Are you limiting your image to 1024x1024? If the image is any larger, Roblox shrinks it, causing fuzziness.
I already managed to understand how it works, it is because when I put the surface subdivider I had activated the âIdeal surfaceâ option, which changed the position of things a bit. Now it looks good
Any reason why you arenât smoothing your meshes?
These look great, except for the flat looking facetted faces that are supposed to be smooth and rounded.
You mean that thing that makes polygons softer? Well if I use it
You should definitely smooth your meshes, turn on Auto Smooth and shade smooth.
How do you get there? Im having a hard time navigating to that part
Export to FBX. If it looks different, you may have a different version than I.
