I recently released a game called “Stone farm simulator” on roblox, and in order to get players, I sponsored the game for 5k Robux. And it went very well. The game had a peak of 115 players and was averaging 80-100 CCU throughout most of the day. The average playtime per session was at 13-14 min, which is really good for a game like this.
But… The game is hardly making any money! For 115 concurrent players, the game only generated a total of 3k Robux…
Why are people not buying game-passes?
Is the game too easy? Is it not worth spending money?

Ok, so what I think is your game can be too easy, also nowadays I think most people are thinking that it’s enough of simulators. You know what I mean is like your game is simulator and Stone Farm Simulator is like there are so many games like this type. Also, nowadays people who play simulators are kids, so your most of the player base would be kids. So kids don’t really care about how the game would be and if more games like that exists. But original (I mean not kids) players are going towards original games rather than simulators. So now your simulator is based on luck ! If your game generates more, you should advertise, if it works, you would get players and if your luck is with you, you would earn. I highly recommend that earn from this, hire some people if you wish, and start working on any other project like any original game. Maybe this isn’t the solution you want but I’m telling you about what’s happening these days and probably you may get stuck in it.
Review - So just because you asked some reviews, I played your game but honestly, I saw this type of concept many times when people asked me to play their simulators. In the first 10 minutes, I was quite bored. It wasn’t quite fun, like what’s the fun in it, just mining. Maybe add more things and more rewards. In my opinion, if you want to exist in this simulator universe nowadays, give somd rewards. Like if player completes some quests or mining level, reward them with badge and like cash or any pet. Send a global message that this player completed this achievement. Basically, make the player feel special. Also, do make a list of achievements and tell about them so that players play this just for completing achievements. Make some unique messages when they completed and write the description of the achievement unique. I know you added workers but practically from my experience, it can’t really make any player feel special and keeping in mind about these days, simulators to get success needs more robux and make player feel special. As stated above, your most of the player base would be kids, so all they need to remain is making them special. And I literally made a trash simulator, but literally people played it for grinding the leaderboards. So making player special is what it will work. Also, make your gamepasses description unique. If you get more players from this, you could earn more. That’s all from my side.

Now the answer of your question is you’re new in this field, and not with a much fresh simulator. Now existing simulators spend too much on advertising and these are too many simulators existing. I think you should also analyze about more simulators, make a community for people to put in feedbacks, I think focus on feedbacks, because the most powerful tool for you are your audience. They would help you alot. I’m just 1 person, if you get thousands of players, build a community and ask for feedbacks, trust me it would help you alot and you would earn alot. Thanks.
Your case is absolutely normal. For those who makes a lot of money with boring games, they’re the lucky exceptions.
Monetization tricks might help you gain some more income, but maybe the game itself, is still a bit too generic.
