Why is my game receiving many dislikes?

Here is the game: Block Battles - Roblox

I had to ask people like friends to like the game, but many people would continuously dislike it. I tried to figure out why. I nerfed the game to have higher average wins so people enjoyed it more. (I saw the average win increase.)

Yes, this game requires 2 players, but that is not an issue because dislikes happened when the active player count was 20-30 or more.

I realized one bug in the “Controller” team (it did not happen very often, so it was an uncommon issue), so I fixed it. Some players return and play the game again after a couple of hours; I’ve noticed that because I friended some players. Or, I obviously would recognize their name again. (I mean if they would play it again if they wanted to, so it shows something.)

So what is the issue?

By many dislikes you mean 9 dislikes?

Yeah, well, by ratio, not precisely by the amount. 70% liking ratio is not good, it should not reach to 60% or 50%.

21 - 9 isn’t bad, it’s probably that they just don’t like the game.

Edit:
So, the game isn’t that bad actually. It’s really fun!
I think people are just raging and disliking it, or they don’t like it.

The dislikes might be because your game is being advertised to a target age and audience that doesn’t fit your game genre. As we all know, you can only target specific genders, age, & regions if you deselect the EU regions in the ADs Manager. I tried this and my game plays were abysmal. My game is a kiddy simulator game that was targeted to 13-17 year olds since we cannot advertise to <13. You can guess what kind of like ratio I received. 50%. The dislike ratio is not a true measure of a games greatness, IMO. But I do admit the lower like ratios is an eyesore.

What age group do you think my game is best for?

You only have three choices using ad manager., 13-17, 17-24, or 25+. So we are at a loss because most of the Roblox users are below 13. I believe off site advertising is the best way to go. YouTube, X, Instagram, ETC.

I find them not to work well. I tried to use those platforms but I don’t even get viewers at all.

It’s either bots or your game is bad.

That’s a pretty oversimplified answer? For example, a game could be good but disliked due to bugs, rage, etc. A myriad of reasons.

Can’t tell, it’s private because of dislikes. On a more on-topic note, high rating on Roblox is hard to keep organically, because a lot of skill-based and more complicated games are just too much for the audience. Better to ignore it completely, if there aren’t any game-breaking bugs or onboarding issues.

Source: my game is at 49%

I have made my game public. You can play it now.

I have made my game public. You can play it now. I’m not sure what the problem, people just don’t like the game.

i think the biggest issue is that the game simply has a lack of players and no singleplayer / bot functionality, which just leaves players who join on this screen:

because there is no actual gameplay without players, they just leave

That is not the problem.
The game reached over 30 active players.
If you read my post, look here:

Join right now with the game! I am in it.

What was the issue? I know you chatted in game but I had to go.

That is quite possibly the problem. Active player count doesn’t mean that they’re well matched, stay during whole round or even are in the same server. The game looks very simplistic from the waiting area design, which could be a reason why players don’t wait for others too.
