i am making an fps game, but my rig is acting up i dont know how to explain but here is a video that will explain, it has how i rigged it and everything:
When the humanoidrootpart of an R15 character touches the ground, it goes into a panic sliding mode to unstick itself if it happened to get stuck in a particular specific way. Your root part must not be resting on the ground, you need a hipheight.
If your root part is not oriented correctly (front facing forwards), it could cause the lying down posture you see.
well how do i fix it and transform it to be forward ?
Click the Humanoid.
Look in Properties for HipHeight.
It’s hard to tell what your HipHeight should be, but try 3.5 to begin with.
Test.
Adjust until the feet sit flat on the ground.
If the rig’s feet are above the ground then decrease the HipHeight.
If the rig’s feet are under the ground increase the HipHeight.
Rotation tool, you’ll have to redo the rigging for that part though because the welds will break, or their cframe offsets will be wrong. If you right click the part you can “show orientation” to find the front.
aw man, i’ll just use roblox avatar then
