Why is roblox trying to replace r6?

r6 is a cornerstone of roblox avatars, i’d say about half the roblox games on the platform (at least that ever gain any kind of traction for 13+ audiences) force players into r6, and roblox has made it significantly harder for players to even switch to r6, and even forces developers to by default have r15 only enabled, but why?

roblox has been compared to legos basically since the beginnings of its existence, and r6 was and is basically just a lego character, but the guys up at roblox headquarters decided to attempt (and fail) to change that brand identity for a reason beyond me

now i also kind of catered my avatar for r6, but its still stupid that roblox is trying to hide r6 from new players

i dont know if the high-ups think roblox will one day become some kind of real life substitute with the completely failed ‘metaverse’ concept and use that to justify hiding r6, but it just wont.

this isnt really a problem because its just dressing up virtual characters, the most annoying thing to come out of this to me is having to change any new game i make’s body type to r6, but im genuinely wondering what is making roblox want to hide r6 so much?
(since all of the reasons at least i can think of dont matter at all or are just genuine delusions)

I feel like recently (as in like the past 5-10 years), roblox has been trying to make roblox realistic. They have been making tons of rthro stuff no one wears, and making a lot of r15 only avatar items. I also agree when you say they are trying to hide r6 from new players, because the r6 option is tucked away in the body scale section.
