Why is the player only getting launched when not dying?

in the video, the npc and the player use different ragdoll scripts, but as you can see in the second video, the player character has no issue if the blow doesnt killl him, any idea why this happens?

just to clarify, the player getting launched farther in the second video is intentional

i have found no fix for this yet, im stumped, i still need some help

fixed by setting the network ownership of the character when they die to the server, then apply the velocity server sided
