Why is Unioning these parts not working?

I’m trying to Union a bunch of parts, but it’s not working, can someone help?

How many Parts are you trying to Union?

I’m going to take a wild guess and say your Union is waaaaaay to complex.

I’d suggest either breaking it down into one chair. (In real life have you ever seen 2 chairs like this perfectly aligned? Placing them individually slightly offset can really add more realism to your place).
If that doesn’t work then try smaller groups of Parts in the chair.
If that doesn’t work export the model to Blender or some sort of 3D mesh program.

Unions are horrible for adding faces where they aren’t needed. I’ve had some exported Unions that had about 5 times the number of faces that were actually required.

I exported it to Blender, but it was all different shaped like some parts were just longer or something, it’s scaling issue basically. The number of parts I’m trying to Union is about, I can say over a hundred to me, it’s a lot! I need it to be one union or mesh or something.

If you are able to help me make it a mesh without the scaling going wrong and keeping the texture, then you can add me on Discord: .kinglycidas

group the model, scale it to like 10x, union the parts, scale back down to 1x scale. usually works for me when i have to union complex stuff

You’re unioning hundreds of parts. What do you think is going to happen?

Hi, we’d like to try to fix that error. Would you be able to DM a file that I can use to reproduce the error locally? Thanks

Way too many parts, if you can just remake the chair in blender or turn it into a mesh

Looks like a ton of parts.

What I like to do is make a texture instead for some things otherwise the performance might take a hit if it’s a model I want pasted everywhere.

Or use blender.

No thanks, I just unioned abit of them like basically ended up with 3 unions.
