I was attempting to search for a Virginia state flag decal when it appeared as hashtags. I am a resident of Virginia and it is very disappointing to see that my state’s name is being censored by the filter.

I think we all know why it’s censored.

Yes but it is a state name and was not censored in the past. Names of official US states should not be censored on the platform. All I’m saying is if it was not censored in the past why is it censored now?
virginia is a bad bad word
Apparently to Roblox it is. I hope my beautiful state’s name gets uncensored soon.

The day roblox has decent chat censoring is the day we find aliens

the filter seems pointless to me since so many kids already swear outside of roblox, or even in (roblox’s) vc games
i wish the filter was optional (on by default)

We have a much better shot at the latter
Update: You can now say West Virginia/Virginia now, no longer censored

dude censor your posts, there are kids in this platform! but seriously, roblox moderation is a dumpster fire to the point where they occasionally censor everything I say or type!
