Widgets snaps-size as exiting widget (Plugins, toolbox)

EDIT: Seems like plugins are affected by this. :skull:

Widgets such as plugins and the toolbox snaps the size after clicking out of it if not docked to side tabs where Explorer or Properties would belong, still an ongoing issue…

How to reproduce:

  • Open studio, create a place or file.
  • Head to View > Toolbox and click it.
  • ^ Or, open a plugin.
  • Turn it to a small widget that you can drag (as the video does it), and press ‘X’

Studio version: 0.472.5.419960 (64bit)

Yes I’ve have this happen to me several times, it’s very annoying.

Plugins that include widgets (Benchmarker, Code Outline, Tool grip editor) now break the sizes of the widget after exiting out of it from ‘X’ on that widget, was going to edit tools and test out modules. Similar to the toolbox, I have to double click the top of the widget for a workaround.

Possibly a staff response for this?

Issue is still present, toolbox still has this same issue where it snaps the plugin-widget and the shape behaves like a square, cannot scale width, length or height; I am also using the same studio version.

Repro:

  • Open studio, create another place / file.
  • Open toolbox, make sure it isn’t placed on side-tabs (check video).
  • Press ‘X’, head to View > toolbox for results.

I’m afraid we still haven’t been able to reproduce across multiple machines. Can you please check whether it still happens after reinstalling Studio?

Gah, why didn’t I think about reinstalling studio? Reinstalling did the trick and I am no longer able to reproduce this issue. :+1:
