Will a “coin flip” feature in a game be permitted?

So I’m looking to implement a “coin flip” feature to my game, the player would lose half of whatever currency they put in if they guessed wrong, and gain half if they guessed right, similar to the coin flip feature in “Case Clicker”. The problem is, I’m not sure if that counts as “gambling”. The currencies can all be obtain by playing, but also by spending Robux, like how it works in the game I mentioned above. I just need some confirmations on this, thank you.

If the currency wasn’t obtainable with Robux, then I’d say that it is fair to do since it’s just a matter of part of gameplay. But since you mentioned that people could lose whatever they bought, then it’s something that can be part of gambling since this would involve the loss of real money.

Doing this with in-game currency that can be earned would be fine, I think. I don’t see how it promotes gambling. However, knowing that this currency can be bought with robux, is where the problem comes in. Additionally, it affects the player because they spent robux, to get currency that gets wasted. If you really want to, and once again I’m not sure, you could create two different systems. One that allows for in-game currency (no robux bought) to be used for this system, e.g earn 50 coins, lose or earn 25 coins. This currency shouldn’t be allowed to be bought with robux. E.g ‘cash’. The other system would be a different currency that can get bought with robux. e.g 'cool diamonds, lol. A second spinning feature would use this currency, and all users would be advised that you’re about to do so, and so, it’s up to the user who fully understands the risks of doing this, before proceeding to spin. However, I suggest not doing this.

I’m not 100% sure if roblox would be okay with this, losing half of your money could be a lot. Whereas in, for example, Adopt Me, buying an egg or crate or whatever always results in SOMETHING, here there’s a very high chance you could get nothing and even lose stuff. Hope this helped even tho I didn’t give you a definite answer.

It all depends on how you implement in the game really. Every simulator has some sort of ‘coin’ currency and you can buy eggs or whatever with it. The issue is your kind of betting your current currency. I would make it more of a buy egg type thing as this could count as a encouragement towards gambling.

Your game sounds quite interesting, good luck with it!

I think your fine, since all currencies can be obtained without Robux you aren’t specifically asking for Robux. But if the currencies only purpose is to gamble then it might be against TOS. As long as the coin flips isn’t the main reason to play the game I think you would be fine.
