I’m adding a feature to my game where people can make custom tools for 80 robux, but the mesh stays the same.
They can customize the texture, add a ParticleEmitter, and change the color of the texture. The only thing is people can just add whatever texture they want, which could result in our game being banned if the user puts something through they shouldn’t, or can it?
I’d like to know if I can be banned for this, or how dangerous it is. That’s partly why it’ll cost 80 robux, to prevent kids from submitting anything on throwaways.
I think that it would be safer if you would put pre-made ones and maybe make soemhtign like if you want to put a custom one to send a request to you?
IDK ask @Roblox Support
Then I don’t think I can help you, sorry…
Maybe show them only to them? Or not allow text? Or anythign that seems breaking the ToS? Like if there’s something with a lot of pink them don’t allow it? I’m not sure tho…
You shouldn’t get banned as long as no 18+ Content, or anything violating the rules appears in the game, if people begin reporting the game for that reason and they find that, you might get banned for “Having it in your game” so I wouldn’t recommend doing it for that reason, just to be sure.
It should be allowed as there is the “spraypaint” tool where you can paste texture onto a surface via Id, Particles wouldn’t be any different.
That wont usually work as some throwaways can have robux on them.
Many popular games got that problem with user’s decals and almost none of them are banned. Pretty sure as long as you have a feature to disable custom decals and you ban people that use them, you are ok.
Not as long as you actively show that you’re prepared to ban anyone who abuses this system, for example having moderators present in your game, or a fairly quick response to report systems, be it in-game or on discord, etc.
I personally wouldn’t risk it and have something different, like a texture expansion gamepass that gives you access to a bunch of approved textures, that you add to on occasion.
