Will I have to censor this?

I have a glove maker game. and players can put any name they want but the preview shows an uncensored version of the name, but on the leaderboard it shows a censored version. But am I required to censor the name on the preview just for Xbox?

If it is displayed to other users, it must be censored with Roblox’s filtering functions.

It isn’t displayed to other users, I am just asking if the name on the preview should be filtered for Xbox too.

Yea it has to, because people could just put swear words, make a screenshot, contact Roblox Support and BOOM you’re banned

What do you mean with “right on the money”? Sorry English is not my main language

This is a problem that happens a lot, especially recently. Usually, the game itself would get reported for the content, contacting Roblox support is extreme, but still a risk we must protect against by ensuring failsafes for both our games, and our player’s safety.

I think he is referring to the expression. “Right on the money” is an expression that means that you are totally correct 100%

Ok thanks, sorry English m is not my main language so I don’t really get some jokes in English

If someone wanted to be malicious, they could do the same thing by typing some swear words into a text box, taking a screenshot, and contacting Roblox support.
You can’t filter text boxes live because people wouldn’t be able to type anything at all. Even if you tried, you’d exhaust the filtering server with all of the requests.

Effectively you’re right, but for anything that isn’t made by Roblox like the chat, should have filtering, just to be sure, and also what do you mean with TextLabel, edit: I got your point now
