So There’s a whole bunch of Anime Games on Roblox, but they usually change the names of those Anime characters into something else that sounds similar to the original name.
So I’m currently modeling a Custom Character. It’s Chicken Little from the movie, ‘Chicken Little’. I’m pretty sure this will be copyrighted, because it’s not my own, but how can I make it so that it’s not copyrighted? Can I just change his outfit and then name him something different?
It usually depends… If you really don’t want to get into trouble, I suggest changing the name slightly and tweaking the outfit slightly 
well, you can get the idea, but not make the same ‘‘lore’’ of ‘‘that’’ character, or ''too many details of him/her" or names
for example
you can get some ideas and copy Neo from Matrix, but if simply copy every single detail and everything, (+lore, combat mechanics and etc) and place it in your game then ppl will say ‘’ this is copyright, look at this, looks the same"
for example, see pokemon brick bronze, got takedown since had , let me say, tons of copyright material directly from the pokemon sourcers or whatever
now you see Loomian legacy, same round-based, but the concept was drastically new, so, now, copyright is not a question since everything is ‘‘original’’
What if I make it look almost the same, but it’s not actually him? For example, Chicken Little is an only child. What if I made a character that looks like him but it’s more like his older/younger brother? Nah nvm I think people will still say it’s copyright since it looks the same. I’ll just make my own chicken.
well, for example, if you don’t create the same appearance ( Outfit, body shape perfectly designed + acessoires)
then, actually, no one will say that this is copyright, just don’t talk about it in-game or insert too many references, it may make some players notice real quick
make it original, you got the idea, but creating some new concepts will make it rlly different
