I’m currently nearing completion of my game and I saw some people weren’t allowed to advertise their game because it had a copyrighted Roblox logo. Does the restriction from advertising only relate to thumbnails and icons, or can I be restricted from advertising if I have the logo in-game?

This is fine. Tons of people utilize the robux image in their games. You just can’t do anything like offer robux or offer to let players exchange in game stuff for robux. But you are fine selling stuff for robux and using robux symbol to show that. If anything it is best you do that so you don’t accidentally trick players.
I disputed this, I’m not sure where this rumor cropped up in the first place but it’s not true.
So you should be absolutely fine.
