Hello all. This is one of my first posts on the devfourm, so sorry if it’s a bit messy!
Me and my friend have a game, and my friend is actually in a small band in real life, and we want to add it in our games when it’s released. Does anyone know if Roblox will just think it’s copyrighted music and that he doesn’t own it and moderate it? Or is there some way to ensure it doesn’t get copyright moderated?

You should be fine. I don’t really think Roblox would recognize the music as copyrighted anyway because the band is small.
As long as you can have the license for the music if it has been copyrighted then it should be fine.
