[WIN8.1] "Save to File..." type defaults to XML '.rbxmx'

I’ve saved a model in XML format a while ago to do some hacking on it. However, now the file explorer chooses the XML format every time by default when I want to save a new model. After saving a new model as binary ‘.rbxm’ it jumps back again to XML the next time I want to save any model.

Help? :frowning:

Managed to reproduce, I am also running 8.1. Also wish I hadn’t reproduced because now mine is also stuck on XML.

Mine (Windows 7) always displays the XML format as default, while I NEVER even selected that option.
(Surely not used it)

This is still happening to me. Watch this:

All the same file. 10,000 or so bricks.
Please fix rbxmx being defaulted to when saving…

I’m using windows 7, and I’m on the same boat einsteink is.

Very old topic, but this still happens. Even if I save an instance as .rbxm and click Save to file for the same instance 3s later, it’ll be .rbxmx again. Kind of annoying to have to select (or at least check) the type every time I save something.

EDIT: I’m using Windows 10 now. Same problem as when I had Windows 7

Happens to me on Win10.

Started happening to me recently. I have a massive combination of .rbxm and .rbxmx files. I don’t know what the difference is, nor do I think I care - I just care about consistency.
