When I use Roblox Studio, Windows 11 sometimes freezes entirely. I cannot move the mouse when it freezes. I have to shut down the computer by holding the power button.

Expected behavior
I was supposed to have a smooth experience with Windows 11 on Studio since Windows 11 is newer than 10
Im on Windows 11 too, but im still on 23H2 and have no issues. What i guess is thats a Windows issue since there many reports that 24H2 is really unstable.
check windows logs Control panel>administrative tools>event viewer or however it is called. Next Windows Event log and application or system. But you need start studio wait for freeze and there something should appear.
Then your windows is damaged you need to reinstall it. Or as I understand you need reset the computer so u can check windows logs after restart. You dont need turn on studio second time. But if things like this happens then I guess sth is wrong with system.
I even tried uninstalling and installing studio, I don’t have it anymore…
Maybe try updating drivers, that was certainly a factor of how it fixed itself for me.
Edit: You can go to your ‘bios’. It is usually something to do with graphical drivers.
I have the exactly same problem with the windows 11 24H2 update, I tried everything but nothing worked unless going back to the windows 11 23H2 update.
I think I had something similar when I was in studio but in my case my entire screen went black before returning, then when I opened task manager I saw Roblox Studio taking all of my ram, maybe same thing happened to you?
This is not how Windows works nor will it ever work this way unless Microsoft steps their game up to truly maximize performance and usability in their OS, which hasn’t happened in a long, long time.
You have an RTX 4050 along with Intel Integrated graphics. Your Studio Runtime Info says that the GPU that’s being used for Studio is the integrated one. You should try to use the Nvidia Control Panel to forcefully open Roblox with your dedicated graphics card rather than your integrated one and see if the problem persists.
exact same thing started happening to me about 2 months ago. Don’t worry bro you’re not alone on this one, entire screen freezes, cant move mouse, cant even open task manager. Gotta force shutdown.
