Winter lighting assistance

Currently this is just for a small personal project to improve upon skills, but I am at a loss when it comes to understanding the lighting options.

My goal is to get the lighting nailed down before moving onto snow particle effects as I’m going for a winter feel. Currently using the realistic lighting style. Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated.

you definitely should replace skybox with something else. also, you probably need to fog it up a little. (atmosphere)

or, you can leave everything as is, and just boost clouds cover/density a little.
