WIP Atmosphere Framework

I’ve been working on an atmosphere framework for singleplayer atmospheric games. This demo is centered around creepier settings.

This includes smooth changes in lighting and audio.
As well I wrote a custom 3d sound engine. I can set which ear a sound plays in or muffle it behind walls or the position of a sound, etc. Hopefully this engine will help make some awesome stuff.
It’s not finished, but what do you think so far?
Suggestions?

EDIT: I changed the glow GUIs to fade in/out instead of change size. I think it looks much better that way.
EDIT 2: Credit to tyridge77 for the idea of muffling audio (Not shown in the videos)

Those light effects are pretty cool with the whole distance thing, however the light billboard effect is olllllld. Other than that the other features are cool.

the light flare is pretty cool. For foggy environments, do you still show some of the flare even when the source is not visible?

Gave me great feels. Unprecedented feels.

What do you mean the billboard effect is old?

This is quite similar to mine, see 0:40 →

however you inspired me to improve it

That is nice, but maybe a bit too dark.

You could also add broken lamps blinking

Well, that is a game that actually looks realistic. I can’t describe with words how much I wanna use that in my games.

Another update!
This time I added a lighter, particle effects, and improved the light glows to fade instead of shrink.

There are some other behind-the-scenes things in the works as well, but I figured this was significant enough to merit another video.

Looks really good!

Nice job

Nooooooooo

You could make it look a bit better by hiding the mouse.
