Hey Devforum, I’m just looking for some constructive criticism on my current work so far. While there’s still a lot to go, I’ve constructed the walls and pillars that will feature a lot throughout the build. I was just hoping for some critiques and pointers for improvement.
(Sorry if the images are quite bad, the build is quite large so it’s hard to capture everything)
I’m essentially just working towards creating a huge hall/corridor. I’ve got no plans for how I’m going to structure the whole thing, so I’m essentially winging it at this point, but yeah, leaning towards the idea of a huge hall. The gaps within the walls are to make space for embedded rooms/offices etc.
Sorry if that’s a really vague explanation. Once I make more progress on the build I should be able to visualise where I’m going with the end product.
Aha yeah, exactly. I’ve added a ton of textures anyway, I just need to sort out the lighting to make it more visible. But yeah, rustic is what I’m definitely trying to avoid.
I think that you are a great builder and I think you will be successful when it comes to getting commissions, the only thing I hoped inside your structure and stuff is like an inside because with the structure on the outside, it looks a bit weird and looks like I entered an AI-generated Willa Wonka chocolate factory.
I think the lights at the top of those turbines(?) look a bit too bright and clash with the dark aesthetic of the build, maybe darken them slightly.
I like the computer, you should extend the catwalk to it across the whole area and stretch it out. Maybe make it a + shape and connect it to the other sides on the left and right as well.
I took your suggestion on the catwalk into account, it is now fully incorporated. The build is about 90% done, I’ll make another post to allow new critiques on the current state of the project. Thank you very much for your criticisms!
