Need some feedback on the exterior of my modern airship so far
Airship next to standard sized baseplate
Its going to be a luxury blimp inside but for now its just an empty gondola, I plan on having windows and other details on the outside but just wanted some feedback on the shape, Im calling it the Nimbus so its suppose to look like a sort of cartoony cloud, Thanks for any feedback you give
It looks like a huge untextured mesh to me (no pun intended). The model itself looks ok, but if you added some doors and glass windows, it would look better. Also recommend putting the smoothing angle or something like that until it’s nicely smoothed.

Problem is its not unioned, just parts so I cant smooth it, I might union the ends once I get to a point where I have all the windows and patios in place but for now its just a pile of parts, and Yes I do plan on having a ton of windows but for now its just the shape
Oh just the shape then? Then it’s an 9/10 for me.
That’s a pretty sweet blimp! I would add something on the top though, like a trapezium shape that’s all glass so if you want a view from the top, that’s the place.
Not a bad start, but it’s hard to give an opinion on something barely completed yet. I’m not a big fan of the shape though, maybe make it a bit pointier on the ends.
Well it’s suppose to look like a cloud so I think pointed ends would take away from that
I might make a sort of vip lounge on top but I might keep the top barren for the cloud aesthetic

Clouds come in all shapes and sizes so IDK what you were using as a reference. It just looks a bit odd with the flat part on the front. Maybe it would look nicer later when it’s done, but that’s just my opinion.
The work you’ve put in so far doing it with parts is amazing, but its hard for me to tell what I’m looking at. If what you’re aiming for is a slightly realistic build, I’d reduce the size of the gondola, and depending on what type of airship you’re building I’d incorporate it inside the envelope structure if the airship is going to be semi-rigid, and hanging if its blimp. Keep in mind that since an airship is lighter than air, it’s always going to have to built favoring the the balloon structure in terms of size. The Gondola itself looks a bit odd, but for the cloud aesthetic it looks fine. Overall I’d say its nice, but it’d need some more work on the overall structure.
