For the past few days, me and a friend have been working on an obby game with some unique twists. We’ve gotten the core gameplay down and we decided it would be best to get some feedback from people who are more experienced than us!
The game is inspired by Speedrun 4.

Make the oak tree leaves CanCollide = false

Add more of a runway when you hit the green bar to get speed

The beach level with the swimming pool thingie into the two trees with the red bar is very hard to get under without slowing down

The crystal levels have the red mines hidden under them which makes them hard to navigate

Actually a lot of these levels I have to slow down in lol I want to go fast and not slow down to avoid things, this isn’t me being bad some of these you can’t finish without slowing down lol

Trampolines are unreliable, please fix them before asking for feedback!!!

Its not bad, just needs some improvement to help players play the game.
Having UI’s in the game would make it a lot cleaner, as well tell the player what the objective is.
also I think it would be cool if for an example when you reach the crystal level it tells you crystals can kill you etc, like letting the player know to look out for them.
overall not bad tho!

This is intended but I’ll be sure to decrease the number of them or make them more obvious.

If your going for a speedrun 4, keep the speed and everything is a little too cramped.
If you aren’t, then the speed is a little too fast. Again I really really REALLY like this game.

- Badges should be a key thing that is added to the game. They can encourage the Player to keep playing to achieve them all.
- Stage GUI clipping at the bottom. You might want to place it a little higher, as the taskbar of some devices cover parts of the GUI.
- The running effect trail shouldn’t be placed until the Player crosses the start line of the run.
- Coins GUI could use an icon, looks a bit empty there.
- You should build your custom run animation, rather than relying on the Player’s chosen avatar animation. That may make the whole run look more realistic.
- A timer when starting the run would be great, as you can add badges for Players who complete a specific stage under a short amount of time, which can encourage engagement.
- You probably should just make all spawns transparent and remove the decals on the spawn for more professionalism.
- I feel that the killbrick in respective stages can use a bit of work and texturing there. It looks a bit bland for now.
- You can try adding a slippery effect for the second stage, since it is made out of Ice, after all.
- Water in Stage 3 looks unnaturally clean. Perhaps add some water flowing over like a fountain.
- For Stage 4’s floor, you can perhaps replace it with lava? It would seem more nicer than just falling on flat rocks.
I didn’t manage to fully explore the whole game, but overall, there is still slight room for improvement! I like the props such as the gems and rocks placed all over Stage 4, and much more throughout the game!

Badges are planned.
Once we have a name for the game, we’ll add images. The state of the game right now is like an IN-DEV stage.
Also sorry about the game being closed, I’m currently recoding and organizing it a bit better.

Hey everyone, thought I’d give an update on the game thus far.
Things added/being worked on:
- Timer system (should the timer stop if you die during a run?)
- Collectable coins
- Rebuilding maps to suit the speed better
- Signs to guide players
- Complete backend revamp and organization
