- Describe the bug. Describe what is happening when the bug occurs. Describe what you would normally expect to occur.
The bug is simple: In some meshes, that are composed of multiple, let’s say, ‘sub-meshes’ (which do not intersect with eachother), there is the chance that one (or perhaps more) of those submeshes becomes incorrectly rendered - the internal faces of that submesh are rendered instead of the external ones. A picture is better to describe this.
Same colour, same mesh. As you can see, the faces in some parts of the meshes are not correctly displayed.
Also, please refer to this gyazo to understand the issue better.
As a term of comparison, this is what the ship should look like (original mesh, without the rendering defect):
- Where does the bug happen (www, gametest, etc) Is it level-specific? Is it game specific? Please post a link to the place that exhibits the issue.
The issue is consistent across the website, client and studio.
- How often does the bug happen (Everytime/sometimes/rarely)? What are the steps that reproduce the bug? Please list them in very high detail. Provide simple example places that exhibit the bug and provide description of what you believe should be the behavior.
This issue always shows up on the affected meshes.
To reproduce the bug, insert one or both of these into workspace:
Ship affected mesh
Track prop affected mesh - the defect on this mesh is harder to spot but still exists.
- For graphics bugs, it is sometimes helpful to know your system specs, especially graphics card.

- When did the bug start happening? If we can tie it to a specific release that helps us figure out what we broke.
The issue always happened since the meshes were uploaded.
