Woodwork Desk Build

I use F3X because I actually suck at blender.

My very first asset! Hoping to do some practise eventually.

Alert bad wood grain detected, bad wood grain detected.

Make sure the wood grain runs by the length of the block.

I love the desk. My only problem is the floor. In my opinion, I think the floor’s StudsPerTile size is a little too small. Is it just 2 studs? Anyway, other than the floor, I love the desk.

Not seeing a woodgrain problem here and I tried to, it’s a good build. My only suggestion would be to make the drawer pulls a bit thinner.

Wood should be facing down.

Very pretty woodwork desk. You can see that you cared. And it’s great for the first build!

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll look into getting that fixed sooner or later

:slight_smile: Thank you, much appreciated

Thanks for the feedback, the StudsPerTile is 1x1, I was primarily focusing on the desk, and just needed some filler stuff for the screenshot, thanks nonetheless :slight_smile:

Yes, but why should it go down? it’s the first time I’ve ever seen people writing about it. What’s up with bad wood grain :open_mouth:

Crazedbrick1 is correct and for proper structure of cupboards and cabinets I believe it makes it more stable irl, I was just surprised i didn’t see it right off and glad he pointed it out as I believe many of us would prefer to build things as realistic as we can. When woodgrains are faced improper it may make the build look sloppy.

Because @WoodReviewer will find you…

Jokes aside, wood is actually cut so the wood grain runs along the length of the wood.

@aahGracie explains it better. Lol

LOL okay, I read the whole topic and I know what’s going on. I was surprised because this is what my furniture looks like.
