Hello recently I have been without a project and have been super bored then one night I had a dream about a Spaceship Simulator/Role play. (True story) And now I expanded on that idea and here is what I came up with.
The Game
So basically you spawn in a lobby and you get to “Vote for the map” (Really just the ship). Then you get teleported to the ship where you are given one of these roles:
Pilot (Flys the ship)
Co pilot (Helps fly)
Navigation (In a separate room with maps leading the pilot)
Turret Fighter (Fight in turrets against enemy ships)
Ship Fighters (Fight enemy ships in battle ships)
Engineers (Fix Ship things like the engine, shields, etc.)
Cargo Checkers (Check food, fuel, etc.)
(All roles get a laser gun)
When playing the game you do your job, stop by other planets to refuel, get more for food and stuff. Enemy cruisers fight your ship, and try to survive as long as possible. Then once the ship dies a new round starts.
I want to start development here is what I have in mind for developers.
Me (Builder, game designer, Animator, sound, and project manager) 35 or 40%
Builder 20% or 25%
Scripter 30%
UI (Commissioned)
Ads 10%
(How much should I get?)
Well this is the end of this post please give me feedback thank you for reading.
This is really a very Different And an Amazing Idea or a Concept I would say. You could really use the Star Trek theme for this, and am sure Players would love this Game!
@DJCreeper_167: This topic is in the right place. There is no recruitment, they are just asking for feedback based on how the game is described and the payment info.
In response to OP, this definitely sounds like a unique game. The roles each sound pretty interesting although (assuming there can be multiple people on a role) you should remove co-pilot and just have a main pilot role.
For the payment, I would suggest giving at least 40% to the scripter. Then with 10% for ads, you have a remaining 50% to split among the builders and any other smaller roles.
I wish you the best with this project, and can’t wait to see how it turns out!
I like the idea. There was a game waaaaay back that was very similar where 2 teams operate a spaceship each and fight to the death, with 1 navigator, 2 gunners, engineers etc.
I feel something that game has that this game will desperately need is some sort of end goal. If the game just goes on until you lose, then you can never really feel like there’s anything to be working towards. You’ll also need to be careful with how decision-making works in the game, since if there’s very different goals for the crew to choose from, but the entire ship has to go toward the same goal, the result tends to be infighting and sabotage because someone didn’t get what they wanted.
Scripters are the “creators” of the game. They make the game come to life. I suggest you increase the percentage, I would recommend 60%. You should get about 20%.
