Working with rope constraints

I am trying to create a character with octopus-like arms, and I got a little stuck trying to figure out how to use these rope constraints. I have tried looking around the devforum using ropes and tried adjusting the density and friction but nothing had seemed to work. I am wondering what properties you could adjust to improve the stability of the parts and decrease the wobbliness.

Following this, you can move the green points of contact around a bit, more evenly placed the more stable they are, if you’re making a tentacle, you’re going to want to curve all your points of contact around eachother
