Would 600k Robux be enough for advertising my game? Advice needed

That’s a nice map, I have modelers that made trees on blender.
I’d do research into streaming enabled function on Roblox, so if your map is too big, it’ll only load what’s in a certain vicinity of your players.

Never heard of it before. Ill check it out. Thanks

Also on the tree front, are they low poly?

I see that, is there any preformance tips since I wont be using low poly models?

Also where di you get the robux from? I assume you did not buy it, so how much visits did your game(s) get for you to get 600k robux?

Hey, you should message me privately so we don’t like go back and forth on this thread haha.
I’ll respond there easily can even add me on discord.

Honestly, I will go lower if I get that amount of money (10K - 20K as example)
Try to run the ad(s) in weekend(Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
Also, it would be kewl if you run the ad(s) in specific time(Morning,Afternoon,Evening for Example).

I agree with what everyone has said, don’t spend it all at once.

But one thing I recommend is improving the map a bit. I know you said it isn’t done, but based on the screenshot you provided it seems to be a little too simple. The comparatively high/medium-poly animals seem out of place.

Oh yeah it’s far from done that was just the layout, I’m now only putting medium poly trees, bushes and other decor inside of it, zoomed out it’s really not attractive but actually playing it does look pretty good.
I also didn’t plan on spending it all at once, more or less 20k everyday for 25 days in sponsors.

@GFXBIT
Thanks. Would you say ads or sponsors though?

I honestly would choose ad. Sponsor might be good, but doesn’t appear on other platform(Mobile, XBOX, Tablet).

Ad is most common way to gain experience(s) visits, great timing and budget can give you great CTR.

At this point, I will advice ya to do some more research about this and ask someone with more experiences at this job than me.

You actually have this the other way around. Ads are the only one that doesn’t show on other platforms. Sponsers were made to fix that, but they have really really bad CTR anyways so Ads in general for PC players is going to be your best bet.

Sorry bout that. Thank for pointing it out

Although sponsors have a bad CTR, isn’t it more or less kind of the same when you consider how much impressions you get vs impressions on an ad?

Impressions ~= Clicks

It depends on how good your game icon is. If your game icon is not so good, people might not click on it.

Statistically, it’s more common for a user to click on an Ad rather than a Sponser. I’m sure with further digging of your own, you could prove that.

Whether to use ads or sponsors varies for each individual, try out both and decide from there. Personally, I prefer sponsors because I’ve had significantly better results with sponsors than ads, and it’s also multi-platform.

Spreading out your robux is definitely a good decision, but I’d recommend a lower amount (2k should be enough) for your testing different ads / sponsors period. 20K seems to be a good amount for obtaining a decent amount of players (100-200 depending on CTR as well as your game’s average playtime).

Most platforms bring approximately the same concurrent players in my experience, but mobile > tablet > computer in terms of purely visits. This is because computer > tablet > phone is usually the case for average playtime.

And finally, consider improving monetisation and/or engagement if you don’t earn back enough robux from your initial spendings. You probably won’t profit straight away, but you should make enough back and retain enough users that you will eventually make your robux back.

This is not surprising, but I have the same situation, so I want to give some tips that can help us.

In most cases, PC users use an ad blocker (including me), so your banner ads will be useless.

What if I did not have enough robux for advertising? I would reach out to any youtubers who would like to play my game. If the audience of this youtuber is large, then this will have a great effect on increasing your online. In my opinion, this is the most effective method of all that I will describe next.

Start making a video about the gameplay of your game and distribute it to different social platforms, but the downside is that it will take a very long time to gather an audience, and that’s about what I do. Even when the game is not finished, people will be ready to wait for the release if you often share interesting content and development. They will also help you with ideas for improvement.

Write about your game where it’s allowed (discord servers, roblox groups…) It would be nice to have friends to help you with all this.

I hope I helped you, good luck.

Roblox cars are mobile friendly, but they have sometimes weird bugs. I fixed lots of them for my games, and i can tell you the worst bugs on them are the guis not appearing above the doors after death, and sometimes your jumpPower stays at 0 even if the player start reset (to fix it just make a localscript and set the useJumpPower to true and jumpPower to 50)

Banner ads are not useless at all. The ad impression will only be counted to players that don’t have ad blocker, OR that they effectively hit the web endpoint to fetch ad data. Players with ad blockers are not counted.

Don’t even listen to people who recommend you ads, they are terrible (roblox has alot of mobile users rn and mobile users comeback to ur game more than pc users), try maybe doing 100k for 6 days so u can get like stable 1k+ players and if u have good amount of dev products and gamepasses then this 600k will comeback fast. But yeah, test ur icon before that risks. GL
