Let’s say there is a game where you can play against other players in card games, such as poker or craps, for in-game currency. No purchases could be made at this game to buy more in-game currency.
My two questions are:
Would a game like this go against Roblox Terms of Service?
If there WERE purchases to buy in-game currency, would those also go against the Roblox Terms of Service?
Betting is okay, as long as the currency is not purchasable with robux. However, if you make any references to real life gambling, such as poker or any other stuff, that’s not okay.
If those cards don’t reference any real-life gambling games, then you should be fine. If you have the gameplay written down, you could also try asking a moderator if that’s okay.
OK I heard you see so many things wrong with this thread. No matter what it’s illegal to gamble under the age of 18 in the USA. So I don’t believe this is a good idea even tho it might not be real. Ok so I’ve looked over the TOS and it says for real life money but the base line is it’s not really a good idea and if you carry on make sure there is no way to gift money because that can start 3rd party sites and sellers. Or even a tOr even a treat system where you can sell the items that someone trade system where they can sell the items traded to you.
Ethically speaking I don’t feel it’s like a very good idea. If the game really becomes a success, you might get general hate and some kids might get addicted to it and that addiction may convince them to gamble real money in the real world.
Some communities might also be created that play these games and gamble in the game with real money, which would technically speaking not be your fault, but you’d have to moderate these kind of communities.
