Hello developers, I am creating a game where you write words that start with a specific letter, and the player with most completed and non-repeated words will win the round (Which is a remake of a real-life game that you usually do in notebooks), since one of the words is “Name” and “Last Name” (writing a name and last name that starts with the choosen letter), I am obviously going to filter because I don’t want swear words unless I just show the points earnt at the final of the round.
Would I get a punishment for this, even if the intention isn’t to put your real name? If yes then I’d like recommendations on what to replace because the selection of topics is small.
I’d recommend not having the “name” and “last name” option. Children may believe that this is their information, rather than something to enter in the game.
To be honest, I don’t really get why it’s not allowed anyways since Roblox is going to be adding a display name feature soon which children will just put their real name there.
You could add some text near the textbox saying not to put in your real name. If they do it anyway, it’s not your fault and it would be the same as them saying their name in chat. Make sure the text is obvious and easy to read.
I have also checked the community rules, and this is allowed because you’re not asking for their name, but rather a random name that they can think of.
You should also consider trying to increase the amount of space if possible.
Yep, and also it won’t be easy to put your real name since the first digit will always have to be the chosen letter, so you can’t put your real name unless the game chose a letter that fit a player’s real name. I also considered on not showing the answers, but rather the points earnt by the words.
