After honing my scripting skills for a year or two, I think I have enough knowledge to do simple commissions. However, I just realized, I don’t have any social media platforms outside of Roblox, no discord, no X, no nothing! Would it be difficult to communicate with the person I’m doing a commission for unless I get one of these social media platforms?
Yes it would be impossible to get hired, unless you have social media
You’re kidding that you don’t have any social media at all, it’s very important in everyday life, unless you want to touch the grass every day
If I’m not mistaken, in Devforum there is a category to hire or be hired to be a programmer here
So you can still get commissions even if you don’t have social media
Use talent hub instead it’s the only option if you don’t want any of the social media

It would be literally impossible to get any form of decent comission for Roblox with no social medias.
Why?
Simple Answer. Marketing.
You have no way to market yourself, your skills, past projects, or client reviews in any way shape or form. In 2024 you NEED social media to get any clients at all.
I’d recommend creating a Discord account and joining a development group like HiddenDevs.
Hello, Discord is not a total requirement if he doesn’t want to use it and I understand, but Guilded is connected to Roblox so he can also chat on it without going through social networks like Discord.
Correct you could go to Guilded, however Discord is much bigger, with more communities and users.
I understand your perspective as well, however, Guilded does not require an email so you sign up with your Roblox account because it is intended for Roblox and Guilded is more secure for personal information because Discord can allow people to retrieve IP addresses through vulnerabilities, so Discord can be dangerous because many people can see the exact address or location of individuals.
