Would love some feedback before advertising

Hi!

I just finished working on a small classic Simun memory game (obviously Simon, but you know, copyright). Hopefully it will bring in some small revenue that I’ll use to advertise a bigger project.

I’d appreciate any constructive criticism, bug reports, even suggestions for small additions.

Here it is:

Thank you for your time

In my opinion, I would not advertise this game. Although its cool, it’s just not the most exciting game out there. I don’t know if you’d be able to make much just from donations alone. Also the patterns glow too quickly, at least for me.

Prty cool! Alternative gamemodes would be intresting, maybe one with 8 colors instead of 4 or something like that. I got #2 for the best score but for some reason #10 appears above mine, not sure why. Had a good time just needs more content to get a active playerbase.

You are allowed to advertise any game, as long as it’s not breaking the rules!
However, your game needs some improvement, and here I am, to give you a bit of guidance.
Let’s begin, shall we?

Game Sky

In my opinion, your game sky does not have the right mood to it; I think a brighter or less detailed sky would make the fit, as it fits the mood of the game itself, giving all the materials around.

I know it is not such a big deal, but it is still necessary for your game.

Background Music

I have give you this for the music: :fist_right: :fist_left:

Your music choice is wonderful! Therefore, I think you should add more songs like these to fit the vibe, perhaps others want more of those groovy airs?

Also, I suggest volume up the music a little.

That is all I have to complain about.

Your game is incredible and underrated. I mean it, and I have visited many games before. You have a lot of potentials and I can see it! Continue developing. Good luck with your game, and I hope you get to where you want.

@A3R0SPACE I know it’s not the most exciting thing, I’ll try to add a few things here and there.

@RZZIO Hey thanks for that, I fixed it, it was the sorting order of the GridLayouts, I didn’t know that “10” would get in front of “2” but I should’ve guessed, it happens in Windows and everywhere else.

@coopily Aww, thanks a lot for the kind words. I agree about the sky, I was looking for one I know that’s exactly like you described, but couldn’t find it so I gave up, I’ll look for it again.

With a little bit of modification, this could be an elimination round-based game. I think that would be a little more fun than standing there playing it (though it is still fun that way too)
