I’ve built a cave generator that generates visually appealing, but randomized and playable cave systems. I was thinking of creating a Plugin, I was curious if anyone actually wants it and what you’d expect to see/what you’d want. The final plugin would be for creation of dungeons for a variety of genres, from fantasy rpgs to sci-fi first person shooters or even an old school dungeon crawler.
What It Already Does
- Noise‑carved tunnels & chambers – adjustable width, height, twist and vertical bias.
- Natural detailing pass – stalactites / stalagmites, rubble piles, dripstone density slider.
- Auto material painting – mossy rock, crystal pockets, lava tubes, or your own custom palette.
- Size & complexity controls – presets from “Tiny Grotto” to “Mega Cavern,” plus manual fields.
- Seed‑based regeneration – one click to reroll or lock a seed for consistent results.
- Performance‑minded – mesh or part output, with optional terrain conversion and chunk streaming.
