Would this be a good system for my Randomizer game?

Hello There!

So I’m creating a typical Item Asylum clone or in other words, a Randomizer. And I had this idea within my head where you can actually choose items to be within the Item Pool. For example, an ice cream item cannot be obtained naturally within the Item Pool, although if you purchased the ice cream and “equip” the ice cream, it will appear within the Item Pool.

So players choose what weapons can be obtained that round?

For them only, Or for everyone?

If for them only:

  • Players could probably pick alot of OP weapons
  • It’d be fun, But you should do something more like the Kit gamemode in IA, Its good, But you might wanna make it more balanced.

If for everyone:

  • Players could pick bad weapons, so no one would have fun.
  • Chaotic, But if certain players feel like ruining everyone’s fun then they might pick the worst weapons.

Apologies if i got something wrong, If i did, Please explain it to me more.

Wydm “For Them”? What group of players are you specifically referring to, like testers or admins?

Oh and also, if you are worrying about “Bad Items” which I assume you mean overpowered weapons, don’t worry, I’ll add a requirement to add non-overpowered/average weapons. (Meaning that if a player wants to equip a very strong weapon, they need to first equip something like 5 average weapons.)

For them, As in the player who selects items to be in the item pool, for them only? or everyone?

Actually, I meant bad items as in items that have long cooldowns, or low damage.
Judging by your other parts of this message, I assume players pick what they get, In that case, I think your system would be good.

So like a random amount of selective players, I’d say maybe, I’d probably choose by the player who stayed the longest within the game.
