I’ve been working on a game that I renamed to The Normal Obby? because of some feedback from the old name. Anyways, I have a gamepass in my game called, Instant Respawn Gamepass which is inspired by THE IMPOSSIBLE OBBY. But my question is, would this gamepass be a good idea? And with this gamepass, would this seem like a game that was just made for robux?
It depends on if the respawn takes a while or if time is important in some way.
The respawn time is 7 seconds.
Then yes. Add it. That is an annoyingly long time.
I was originally gonna make it 10 seconds until I got some criticism on it. So then I changed it.
I wouldnt make it super long just to make a buck. Add a special obby for people that pay instead of a respawn gamepass.
I think that might be a feature for VIP server’s but we’ll see.

I think having to pay 50 robux for quick respawn time might be a bit annoying to some players. It’s not exactly a bad idea, but maybe lower the price is my suggestion.
I might lower it to 25 robux cause I was also thinking that 50 might be a little too much. Plus the lower the price then the more player’s will buy it.
Yeah. You could also experiment with different prices to see which one is the most profitable.
Once the game is finished (which will take a while) then I will experiment with prices.
In my opinion, I wouldn’t buy it. I expect there to be a short respawn time, and I as a consumer would feel that it’s just a bit of a cash grab and unnecessary.
I would either lower the price, or as @DinosaurEmpire1 said
or maybe experiment with other gamepasses other than that.
I just feel it could draw players away a bit, just in my opinion.
2 things, #1: I might be adding other gamepasses. #2: THE IMPOSSIBLE OBBY does the same thing and they get a good amount of player’s even with the gamepass.
7 Seconds for a Respawn is long, so I think the Game Pass is okay

I am going to lower the price to 25 robux. If no one buys it, I’ll bring it down to 15.
In the case of the current respawn time of 7 seconds, yes I would think this would be a great idea.
I think it matters how long the obby is. If it’s 50+ stages, I think the gamepass would be fine. It could save a lot of time. However, if it’s less than 10 stages, I don’t think many people would buy the gamepass.
Or if it’s really hard, the gamepass would be fine.
The game’s difficulty is pretty high up there and there are gonna be a lot of stages so.
I think it’s bad UX if you know there’s a feature that’s so annoying people will pay to bypass it. Why is it long in the first place?
Your primary objective should be good user experience that improves with a gamepass, not bad user experience that essentially forces you to buy a gamepass.
It would be like covering your game in adverts and asking people to pay to remove them. It might get you cash, but at a UX cost.
