Would using satellite imagery be okay from sources such as Google Earth?

I’m trying to find a satellite image which I can get for free and can use for free to display a “map” for a future of showcase games I am creating, but can not find any and even if its possible.

Any help would be appreciated!

I’d read these guidelines provided by Google regarding the usage of Google Earth/Maps
https://www.google.com/permissions/geoguidelines/
https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps/

None of this helped my case I believe. If you could help me further, I can list what I want to achieve with the imagry.

The start menu of a game GUI when you load in with games you can join corresponding to the location.

SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT LIKE THIS:

I could use another source for satellite imagery for free but I do not know any services like that. Otherwise, I COULD use a heightmap but it would be a bit hard to locate the areas without having a reference. A heightmap terrain would be my absolute last resort.

If you know any other satellite imagery sources, that would be great!

You’re not going to find sources of satellite imagery, of every place in the world you could request at will, for free. Even free alternatives such as OpenStreetMaps require you to give credit and link to their project/website, which is against Roblox’s ToS because it’s off-site linking.

He provided you with an answer to the question you asked; whether it is okay to use satellite imagery from sources such as Google Earth (an example you explicitly provided). This is what you asked in your first post.

Your use-case for the imagery doesn’t matter, since you need to follow the legal terms of the party that provides these types of images.
