i spent all day making the tweening as i was stuck on one very stupid bug and i finally did it, the goal is simplified ui that isnt too in ur face, it was made with roblox studio and without photoshop as u can tell.
What rating would you give it? (please provide a detailed explanation in the replies so I can fix the issues)
update: i have fixed the hovering by changing the anchor point, thanks for that cus i wanted to figure that out for a while
add some text above the buttons because it feels too empty, also if you want the buttons to expand from the middle when you hover over them set their anchorpoint to 0.5, 0.5 (will mess up with the positions so you will need to reposition them)
If you can’t play the video, stop using the “internet explorer of apple” and get a proper browser. webm files should be supported by everything these days.
The ui is this:
Anyways, it looks okay, but you should add some gradients to the buttons. I don’t know how I feel about the comic sans font though.
I think your Ui looks fine. If I had more context (to what the game is) I could maybe recommend more…
For example, I am working on a Horror game, and so the Menu looks like this:
And now because this is a horror game, It’s style is focused on a eerie, mysterious theme…
Now of course that is just because my examples a horror game, but different styles have different Ui methods to a play Menu per say.
My recommendations (for Simple design):
Have sounds for hovering and clicking a button. You can find some on the Roblox Marketplace or upload your own…
Clean up the Ui when the player clicks play. Like the 2 Tweens for the Buttons overplay when the Tween is played. I would try to tween the Credits button first, and then the Play button.
Considering adding a title? Or using Image labels to advance the Ui a little more with simple icons, such as a play button icon for the play button
