I like expressing my opinions, and I like listenings to other peoples opinions even more.
But this platform is starting to get in the way.
For every 2-3 posts, one gets taken down for “bad categorization”, chances are, this one will too.
It is incredibly anoying and a reason for a lot of people to quit posting and interacting altogether.
Categorazation is important, kind off, but if roblox is not willing to spend human resources on evaluating wherever a post was wrongly categorized, it cannot rely on the people’s reports.
So Roblox, either spend resources on checking wherever each reported post was right or wrong, or PLEASE, change the sistem.
Perhaps make it so when a few people report a post as being wrongly categorized, it will take their word, and change the category, without taking down the post.
Or, to be honest, just do nothing. I would rather see wrongly categorized post than see a post be taken down for such a dumb technicality.
Thanks for the feedback. Looking at your moderation history, it looks like you’re referring to confusion between Dev Discussion and Support categories. I’ve brought it up with the forum moderation team if we can make any improvements there in how we moderate there.
With all due respect, there is some sort of expectation to do your due diligence and post in the right forum categories in the first place (including with topics), rather than relying on moderation to do it for you. However, there have been times where a topic has been revived from a post follow up, the message bump has been deleted when the question has been answered and its ended up looking off-topic when a response has been received.
As for shutting down discussions when posting in the wrong forum categories, that does sound a little extreme imo. Think of it less like a chore with having to put the topic in the right categories and more like getting the right discussions or help where it is needed. I don’t think anybody should be penalised for at least trying to put content in the right topic and getting it wrong once, as long as it’s not spam and is a genuine mistake.
You were originally talking about creating topics or posts in the wrong category. Posts or topics being taken down for no reason at all would be a different problem. But a moderator would have to go and manually take down the topic or post that was reported on away, they just become temporarily hidden not necessarily taken down.
But yes, if a post or topic gets locked and you haven’t had a reason for it then there should be greater transparency. I’ve never personally experienced this myself, although I have seen others’ topics get locked in the past.

I have seen many posts bee taken down for absolutely no reason.
If a few people report a post for wrong categorization it almost automatically gets taken down, which is not only unfair but really extreme.
Just last week I had a post taken down because of this unfair system.
